Riot revealed that the largest set made in honor of Faker's induction into the hall of fame will cost a whopping 59,260 RP points, or $450, which was not met with positive reactions by LoL esports fans.
Namely, the legend of LoL esports and perhaps the best esports player of all time, Lee "Faker" Sanghyeok is expectedly the first player to be admitted to the LoL hall of fame, which is also marked by the Hall of Legends Ahri skin.
And while the reactions surrounding the very appearance of the skin that comes in three different options are positive, LoL fans were disappointed that the ultimate version of the skin comes in the cheapest option of 32,430 RP, i.e. $235, and those fans who want the complete version with all the options will have to shell out incredible 450 dollars.
The public greeted this news on Reddit by commenting that it is a shame that Riot is trying to make this kind of profit through Faker, who throughout competitive history has been decorated with modesty as one of his greatest virtues, and most interestingly, who is known for not using skins at all .
In the spirit of what Faker is trying to convey to players, which is equality, would also be the decision to make his Hall of Fame skin significantly more affordable, instead only a small number of players and fans will be able to afford it.
At one point, the players even called for a boycott, that is, they demand that Ahri be banned from now on in all parties so that people who buy the skin would not have the opportunity to use it in the game, and it remains to be seen whether public outcry will result fruit.
