Two more teams bid farewell to the LoL World Championship today. Fnatic took out Cloud9 in a series that was rife with mistakes on both sides, while Weibo Gaming sent the MAD Lions back home with a convincing win.
Fnatic managed to bounce back from their first game loss to stay in the competition. Cloud9 took the lead by pushing through the top lane in the first game where Oscarinin failed on Jax after an 0-5 start after only 15 minutes of play, while Fudge was already well over 7-1 in the Rumble during that time. C9 was not in a hurry and finally won after the 40th minute.
That's pretty much all we've seen from Cloud9 in this match, after that despite Fnatic's mistakes they didn't manage to accomplish much. In the second game, Noah showed why he made a name for himself on Zera while playing for Z10 and why it is one of, if not his best hero, and this time Fudge had problems on the cannon playing Renekton.
In the third game, Cloud9 tried to play over the cannon again, where they had relative success, but the mistakes of the rest of the team, especially Zvena's support, cost them dearly and Fnatic completely dominated the team fights, which brought them victory at the end of half an hour of the game.
After Team Liquid, America is now left without another representative, and NRG will be the one to light up the face of the region and defeat G2 in the fight for the playoffs.
In the second match, MAD Lions paid the price for not taking advantage of the favorable draw at the start of the tournament, and with only one win, they say goodbye to the competition. The match was marked by TheShy on Aatrox, the Lions had no solution for him throughout and looked completely harmless most of the time which Weibo was able to use to get a routine win.
