The end of the second round of the Challenger phase also marks the end of the first day at the Major in Paris. FaZe and G2 have justified their roles as favorites and scheduled a showdown. Maden is playing exceptionally well in this Major, and there was even a victory with a score of 16:0…
Hot damn, G2 bringing the heat to Inferno ????

G2 goes 2-0 and is just one victory away from Legends!

G2 faced Complexity, and it's interesting that both teams decided to play Inferno, where they both achieved victories in the first round. HooXi once again failed to win on the CT side, and the American team reached eight rounds. However, G2 demonstrates their strong T side, carrying over their gameplay from the first map of the tournament and winning the match 16:12. The leader of G2 Esports will definitely have something to work on with their teammates to improve their Inferno for the rest of the tournament.
First day over, but a lot of comms issues in the last game, something we have to improve on for tomorrow's matches. GG WP Pain. 2-0 first day here in @BLASTtv in Paris ????

FaZe faced paiN on Nuke, and despite losing twelve rounds, they managed to secure an easy victory. They maintained their advantage from start to finish without much difficulty. Ropz stood out the most in the team, being chosen as the MVP of the match thanks to some excellent clutches.

Apeks defeated Liquid in their first match and got the easiest possible opponent in the second round, Grayhound, who managed to turn the match in their favor against forZe in the first round, although it's fair to say that the Russian team defeated themselves in that match. Mirage was played again, but this time disaster struck instead of a comeback, as the Oceanic team lost with a score of 16:0, which is truly atypical at this level.

Pavle "maden" Bošković was the standout player on the server in the victory on Vertigo against Nindza. He hasn't had the best statistics lately, but when it matters most for his team, he shines in a major tournament and is a key cog for the success of ENCE, who now have a 2-0 record and only need one more victory in the next three matches to qualify for the Legends stage.
The second round isn't over yet, and you can still follow the matches on TV Arena Esport channel as well as our streaming platforms, YouTube and Twitch.
We are still awaiting all the matchups for the third round, which we will watch tomorrow in Paris. However, it's known who will face off in the 2-0 section of the draw: G2 Esports against Apeks and ENCE against FaZe!
