Sprout confirmed tonight that Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss is leaving the team.
The extremely talented Danish player will look for a new team after failing in the EU RMR open qualifiers. Zyphon came to Sprout as a big reinforcement from the Copenhagen Flames team with whom he played in the quarterfinals of the PGL Antwerp Major.
After arriving at Sprout he helped them advance to the Legends stage of the Major in Brazil, but that was also the team's last major success. Zyphon was benched last year at the beginning of February, but less than a month later he was returned to the team because Ismail "refrezh" Ali stepped out of the starting lineup.
He spent almost another year in the team, and in November he was loaned to Heroic, for which he played the BLAST Fall Final and BLAST World final as a substitute.
He will be replaced in the Sprout team by Daniil "Sdaim" Tupov, who previously played for the Witchers team, which came close to placing in the EU RMR closed qualifiers, but lost a crucial match in the last open qualifiers.
