The American esports organization made express changes to its CS2 team after failing at the NA RMR Major qualifiers.
Party Astronauts player Colby "Walco" Walsh is NRG's first addition since returning to CS esports after a four-year hiatus.
He will replace Damian "daps" Steele who returned to play for a short time, but after less than four months he will take the coaching position again. Daps was already the coach of NRG in 2017, and before and after that he played for the organization of which he was a member until July 2019.
Daps also coached Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid during his career, and as he himself stated, he played more again because it was necessary due to complications with bringing in players, than he wanted.
When it comes to his replacement, Walco has been competing since 2018, and during his career he played for teams like Evil Geniuses, Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts with whom he only spent a little over three weeks. Walco will also be the new captain of the team, and will make his debut in the next match of NRG in the ESL Challenger League.
