Vitality knocks G2 out of BLAST Spring Finals

G2 Esports failed to recover from all the obstacles that followed them during the London tournament, they lost to Vitality in the fight for survival and will not play in the playoffs of the tournament.

After having to play with a coach yesterday because Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov couldn't get his visa in time, G2 still didn't know until the last minute if they would play with a full squad. The Russian player won the race against time and, thanks to the postponement of the match by five minutes, managed to jump on the server without pre-warming up, which, as expected, affected his game, especially on the first map.

Vitality won with a convincing 13-4 on Inferno, the peak of G2, and m0NESY finished the map with only five frags and a 0.38 rating. He stayed after the first map to warm up while the players were on break, and G2 managed to respond to Anubis, thanks primarily to the excellent output of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač.

Mirage decided the winner, a map that G2 had played for the first time in three months, and it saw Vitality take a convincing 13-5 victory, which earned them third place in Group B and a place in the playoffs.

With this match, G2 Esports finished playing in the first part of the competition year and now they are waiting for the summer break, during which if rumors are to be believed we may see changes in the team.
