Vitality is the BLAST Premier Fall Finals champion

Vitality managed to stop FaZe Clan's unbeaten run and with a 2-0 victory in the grand finals, they became the BLAST autumn champion.

Although they came to the tournament with a change in the starting line-up and a new-old coach, Vitality showed why they are one of the most dangerous teams in the world. They recovered in the best possible way from a shocking exit at the start of IEM Sydney, the first major CS2 LAN tournament, and with a great performance fully deservedly lifted the trophy in Copenhagen.

Vitality reached the semifinals with wins against Heroic and Complexity in Group B, only to defeat Cloud9 2-1 in the semifinals after a fierce battle.

The final itself began with a dominant game of Vitality on the T side of Vertigo, their own pick, where they took nine rounds on the T side, and then went on to win all four rounds for a convincing 13-3.

It looked like FaZe would respond to Nuke where they managed to take a 7-5 lead playing the T side, but Vitality managed to answer them with a great T side of their own and after an 11-11 tie they took the next two rounds for a 13-11 win and the first CS2 title.

William "mezii" Merriman may not have impressed in his first tournament, but he will be remembered for the title and that can only give him added confidence to progress in his new team.

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was declared the player of the tournament, who most likely cemented his position as the best player in the world in 2023.

In addition to Vitality, the biggest success in the tournament was achieved by Cloud9, who, by placing in the semi-finals, secured participation in the BLAST Premier World Finals, the big finale of BLAST for the current year.
