Astralis is on the brink of major changes before the continuation of Counter-Strike esports in the CS2 era, and we might have been able to find hints about who is leaving on their website.
According to Twitter user _harum1, sources close to the team revealed to him that Astralis will let go of two players, and that the Danes have already contacted other organizations regarding potential new team members.
Astralis, which currently occupies the eighth place in the HLTV world ranking, has only been active for three months with the new five, after they brought in Victor "Staehr" at the end of June. Staehra and Johannes "b0RUP" Borupa, and these two players could very soon leave the team.
Remember, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer extended his contract with Astralis just two weeks ago, while team star Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz extremely attached to Christian "Buzz" Andersen, whom he mentioned in his statement on the Astralis website on the occasion of the release of CS2, pointing out that Buzz, blameF and he will be the foundation of Astralis in the coming period.
Astralis started with a new lineup with defeats in the group stage of the autumn BLAST, but in the play-in stage they managed to defeat Complexity and Team Liquid and win a pass to the Fall Finals.
They had a great streak in Cologne when they beat NiP, MOUZ and Na'Vi to reach the playoffs, and after that they knocked out Heroic Lepers from G2 in the grand finals.
At the time, Astralis seemed to be on an upward trajectory, but after an unexpected loss against 00 Nation in the Pinnacle Cup semi-finals, yetš one failure in the 18th season of the ESL Pro League where they managed to reach the playoffs, only to unexpectedly lose 0-2 to Eternal Fire in the first round.
Staehr and b0RUP achieved a negative overall rating during that period, but fans are still wondering if Astralis' decision was a bit hasty, or if the changes did happen, maybe there was something within the team itself š that led to the disagreement and splits.
Astralis certainly has enough time to implement new players in the team if there are changes, they will only be waiting for the Roobet Cup 2023 at the end of October, after that they will play the CS2 Asian Championship 2023 at the beginning of November, and two weeks later they will be waiting for the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2023 where will try to secure placement at the big final BLAST event.
