The MongolZ won YaLLa Compass 2024

The Mongolian side won their second consecutive international tournament, defeating Ninjas in Pajamas 2-1 in the finals of the YaLLa Compass 2024 competition.

The MongolZ continue to be one of the most pleasant surprises on the CS2 scene, dominating the tournaments they participate in with great games and showing that they are truly ready to compete with the best teams in the world.

And while they won their first title at home, they have now proven themselves abroad, leaving behind big names like Astralis, Heroic, Complexity and Eternal Fire.

In the entire tournament, they lost only one Bo1 match against Astralis when they already secured the first place in the A group thanks to a perfect 4-0 start, and then it was Astralis who won in the semi-finals and scheduled a clash with NiP.

Ninja star Artem "r1nkle" Moroz was neutralized in the finals, and The MongolZ could have won 2-0 had they not dropped a map point in the last round of the regular part of the first map. They managed to come back from a 3-9 deficit on the Ancient map, but NiP managed to win overtime and take a convincing 16-12 victory.

In the continuation of the match, The MongolZ were convincing on both remaining maps, they won Mirage almost 13-7, while on Nuke the score was 13-6.

They won 200,000 dollars for their victory in Abu Dhabi, and in four days they are starting a new campaign, when they will play ESL Challenger Jönköping where their main rival, at least on paper, will be Complexity.
