The unstoppable Team Spirit picked up at the EU RMR tournament where they left off at IEM Katowice. They take turns sweeping everything in front of them, with their latest victim being Team ENCE who failed to take a single round in their first round qualifier clash for the PGL Copenhagen Major.
Led by "child prodigy" Danilo "donk" Kryshkovets, the Spirit began their quest for the Major trophy today, and if the day is anything to go by, it will take a big surprise to stop them on their way to a new trophy.
Spirit absolutely dominated during IEM Katowice 2024, the first major CS2 tournament of the new year, and they continue the same pace in Group B of the EU RMR that started today.
Spirit in particular continues to look untouchable on the Overpass map they played today, with even two players switching 2.0 ratings in this match. Donk posted an 18-4 record in frags, a whopping 140 damage per round and a 2.41 rating, while Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov had a 16-1 record, 115 damage per round and a 2.05 rating.
They will face the most trophy-laden organization in the Majors, Astralis, in the second round, who were also convincing in the first round against Nexus, but now face their toughest possible challenge on their way to the Legends stage of the upcoming Major.
