Heroic has just issued an official statement stating that Martin "stavn" Lunda and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard have been removed from the first team until further notice following an incident during the contract extension agreement.
In the unexpected announcement of Heroica, the situation that led to the change in the composition is described quite transparently. Namely, it was clarified that it was these two players who insisted that casper "cadiaN" Moller leave the team, which came as a surprise to both the player and the organization itself.
After unsuccessful negotiations, Heroic had to choose and it was decided that cadiaN would leave the team, and stavn and jabbi verbally promised the organization that they would renew their contracts with Heroic if that happened.
When the day came for Heroic to offer new contracts to the players, they revealed that they were already well into negotiations with Astralis which came as a complete shock to the team. Their contracts with the team last another ten months, which is a lot of time, the organization will try to find a solution and keep both players, but they are also open to realistic offers, according to the official statement.
As Arena Esport unofficially learns, the duo from the MOUZ Academy consisting of 17-year-old Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard and one year younger William "sirah" Kjaersgaard will debut for Heroic in the first round of Group A of the Roobet Cup against Aurora Gaming.
In addition to them, we will also watch the debut of Dupree, who, at least for now, has come to Heroic for the period until the end of 2023.
The Heroic line-up for the Roobet Cup will look like this:
Rene "TeSeS" Madsen
Rasmus "syuush" Beck
Peter "dupreech" Rasmussen
Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard
William "syrah" Kjaersgaard
