S1mple addressed the fans - I want to play for NaVi

The legend of CS Esport and according to many the best player of all time, Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev announced an emotional message on social networks after the end of the IEM Cologne 2024 tournament where his team Natus Vincere lost in the finals.

S1mple who spent most of his playing career with Na'Vi and for whom he played for seven long years has been on the bench since October of last year, after taking a self-initiated decision to take a break from playing when CS2 came out.

In the meantime, Na'Vi was replaced in the form of young Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov and with the new five they started to achieve more success, winning the first CS2 Major among other things.

It will soon be a year since s1mple has been out of action, and his fans, as well as many of the players he inspired, are wondering what is going on with the famous player, which is one of the reasons why s1mple decided to speak out.

He explained on his Telegram channel that the current situation is such that "he doesn't need Na'Vi, but Na'Vi needs him". He added that it is difficult for him to accept that he is no longer part of the team, that he hopes to return to playing and that he is tired of doing nothing, and when he returns - he will be stronger than ever.

Let's remind you, s1mple is still under contract with Na'Vi, which is why he cannot just transfer to another team, and for now it is not known how much money Na'Vi is asking for the CS giant. S1mple renewed his contract with Na'Vi in October 2022 for another three years, meaning he is under contract with Na'Vi until the end of next year.
