Former Nouns player and BOSS team member David "cynic" Polster has died at the age of 23.
The news about the tragic event was reported by BOSS coach Tommy "Axed" Ryan, and later confirmed by Nouns coach Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen.
Cynic was one of the great talents of the American CS esports scene, he competed since 2018, and after more than a year spent in the Nouns Esports team, a month ago he moved to BOSS, with whom he qualified for the NA RMR Major qualifiers for the PGL Copenhagen Major .
According to unofficial information, the cynic committed suicide, and although there is no official confirmation, SEMPHIS told fans on Reddit that "out of respect for his family, he does not want to reveal the details, but everyone can look at the latest posts on his Twitter account and draw their own conclusions about what happened".
Two days ago, SEMPHIS posted a lengthy post dealing with the topic of suicide, and in the past 48 hours, several other players from the NA scene have posted posts urging people who feel mentally ill not to keep it to themselves, but to reach out to help or even talk about it.
