This morning, PGL announced which cities will host the best CS2 players in the world in the battle for placement at the first CS2 Major, which will be held in Copenhagen in March.
At the same time, PGL also opened registrations for open qualifications that will be played from January 8 to 14, when it comes to European qualifications. You can sign up for them at this link.
As expected, the European qualifications will be held in the capital of Romania, which is also the seat of the organizer of the next Major, the company PGL. The teams that placed in the top 16 at the last Major and that have kept at least three players from that lineup will receive direct invitations to the RMR tournaments, while the remaining participants will come from the open qualifiers.
The Asian qualifiers will be held in Shanghai, China, while the US qualifiers will be hosted by Monterrey, Mexico.
A total of 32 teams will compete in the European RMR tournament, they will be divided into two groups, and the exact date of the tournament is February 14 - 24.
The Asian qualifiers are played from February 26 to 28, while the American qualifiers are the last and are scheduled from March 1 to 4.
A total of 24 teams will compete in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen tournament, which will be played from March 17 to 31. As a reminder, Europe will have 17 slots, America five, and Asia two.
