Serbian player Nemanja "nexa" Isaković is officially a member of G2 Esports again as of today.
The former G2 captain has spent the past two years with Team OG, having previously led G2 from September 2019 to early 2022.
With Nemanja at the helm, G2 came a step closer to historic success, winning the Major title, but in the finals of the PGL Stockholm Major, they were defeated by Na'Vi with a score of 2-0. G2 lost both the IEM Cologne and IEM Katowice finals to the same team that year.
Despite the excellent results, Nexa said goodbye to G2, and although it was not officially confirmed, the main reason for this was his desire to leave the role of IGL and devote himself exclusively to shooting.
Nexa will replace the Australian Justin "jks" Savage in the team, who spent a little more than a year in G2.
The Serbian will play his first tournament since wearing the G2 Esports jersey again in December, when the BLAST Premier World Finals 2023 is on the program, where G2 will defend the title won last year.
Nexa gave a short statement to Arena Esport regarding his return to the ranks of G2 Esports:
"I'm grateful for the opportunity I've been given and I'll do my best to make G2 achieve even better results in the coming year than it did this year. I'm especially looking forward to having the huge support of the G2 army with me again!"
