NAVI DEFEATED G2 IN ESPORTS WORLD CUP 2024 FINAL

Natus Vincere won the CS2 Esports World Cup 2024 tournament by defeating G2 Esports in the grand final.

Na'Vi came to their second trophy of the year, their first since the Major, with a convincing victory against the favored G2, who until the final looked like the best team in the tournament.

After G2 wiped Team Spirit and Virtus.pro from the servers in previous matches, few expected Na'Vi to stop them, despite their 6-0 win streak against previous G2 lineups. Although Na'Vi defeated FaZe and MOUZ on the way to the finals and thus showed their strength and current form, it seems as if the whole focus was on the new G2 lineup, which at times really looked untouchable in the tournament, and they reached the finals with just one lost map.

However, it was clear that this time we would see a different outcome of the match already after the first Ancient map, where G2 won only after overtime with a score of 16-14. Na'Vi managed to win overtime even though G2 had a map point, but they couldn't stop G2 from taking a 1-0 lead.

He held off G2 for another half, after which Na'Vi took complete control of the finals. After a 6-6 score in the first half of play on Nuke, Na'Vi took all seven rounds down the stretch as they switched to the CT side and quickly tied things up with a 13-6 win.

They continued to terrorize G2 on Inferno, which was the deciding map, from 7-1 to 9-3 at halftime, and later, after a short exchange of rounds, the map ended again with a score of 13-6.

During the tournament, G2 showed great progress in the game, but for now it seems that even with the new lineup they have no solution for Natus Vincere, which can be a serious problem in the rest of the season if they do not find the key to success against the famous CIS team.
