Monte lifts trophy at ESL Jonkoping

The Ukrainian team defeated Eternal Fire 2-0 in the finals of the tournament in Sweden, which earned them a place in the ESL Pro League and the first LAN title.

Monte continues with excellent games, which is why they are currently the best ranked CIS team in the world according to the HLTV ranking. This time they had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on LAN, and they left behind teams like Virtus.pro, MiBR, GamerLegion and of course EF.

They defeated TYLOO and Nouns in the group stage, who managed to surprise Eternal Fire in the first round of the tournament, and then in the playoffs they won a tough victory against Virtus in the big CIS derby.

During that time, Eternal Fire managed to recover from a bad start and defeat TYLOO and Nouns, and then MiBR in the semi-finals.

The battle for the title opened at Vertigo, where Monte led 8-4 in the first half, only for Eternal Fire to tie the game at 9-9, where they stopped as Monte managed to regain control in the second half and triumphed in four of the next five rounds lead to a 13-10 victory.

And on Anubis, we saw an even fight, and Dane Alexander "br0" Bro brought the advantage to his team and a 19-16 victory after overtime, with 36 frags, over 100 damage per round (101.3) and 1.54 rating.

And while Monte celebrates their placement in the ESL Pro League, the Turkish team has something to regret, but when everything is put together, it can be seen that Eternal Fire is showing an increasingly better game and that their preparations in the new era of CS esports have paid off quite a bit.
