Groups drawn for BLAST Spring 2024

BLAST has revealed the composition of the groups for the upcoming BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024, which will premiere with 16 teams with a modified qualification system for the final spring tournament.

As a reminder, BLAST has added four more partner teams for 2024 - Falcons, Team Spirit, GamerLegion and Virtus.pro, which is why the number of participants in the group part of BLAST has increased from 12 to 16, and because of which we now have four teams each in to each group.

In the modified system, the winners of each group will advance to the BLAST Spring Finals, while the second-placed teams will play a playoff for the remaining two places that lead directly to the Finals.

The remaining 10 teams will play the Spring Showdown, which will see a total of 16 teams compete, including the winners of the Western and Eastern European qualifiers, which we will have more details on soon.

The spring BLAST group schedule looks like this:

Group A: Team Vitality, Astralis, Falcons, OG
Group B: FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Gamer Legion
Group C: G2 Esports, Natus Vincere, Complexity, Ninjas in Pajamas
Group D: Virtus.pro, Cloud9, Heroic, BIG

Except for Group D, there are at least three teams in each group that will fight for first place, which makes the group stage of the competition extremely interesting.

In group A, the best team in the world, Vitality, stands out as the absolute favorite, but we should leave room for a surprise for the teams Astralis and Falcons, who enter the competition with great motives.

Group B will finally see the international debut of Team Liquid, who will have a difficult task to stop the playful FaZe Clan and the newcomer Team Spirit, a team from which much is really expected considering that they now have two Russian CS2 stars Danil "donk" in their ranks " Kryshkovets and Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov.

In Group C, we expect Na'Vi and G2 to lead the way, with Complexity potentially springing a surprise if they rediscover the good form that was missing at the end of last year.

Group D sounds the weakest on paper, Cloud9 and Virtus.pro should lead the charge, while Heroic will try to surprise with a new lineup and demonstrate all the team's potential already at the start of the year.
