The organizer of the CS Asia Championship announced that G2 Esports will not participate in the tournament, further fueling rumors that changes within the team are in the offing.
Currently, the best team in the world according to the HLTV rankings has been the target of many rumors for days, primarily related to the Falcons organization and Nikola "NiKo" Kovac.
According to several different sources, the Arab esports organization, which has already begun to make moves and bring in Counter-Strike esports giants, has also started talks with the G2 superstar, and along with Nikola, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov could also move to the Falcons, who expressed his desire to continue to play with his current teammate.
All of these rumors are still completely unconfirmed, but what we now know as a fact is that for some reason G2 will not be traveling to China for the LAN event being played from November 08-12. This was supposed to be the only tournament G2 would play before the 2023 BLAST Premier World Finals scheduled for mid-December.
They will be replaced by Wings Up, currently the 104th team in the world, which finished third in the local qualifiers. This is the second dropout of the tournament, after Team Liquid decided to pull out and be replaced by Ninjas in Pajamas.
