FaZe Clan defeated MOUZ 2-0 in the second semi-final to set up a showdown with Complexity in the grand finals of IEM Sydney 2023.
MOUSE must be proud that they even reached the top 4 playing with a change. Bram "Nexius" Campana showed that he has a bright future ahead of him, and it remains regrettable for the absence of Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo, who could not be with his team due to a visa.
FaZe opened the match with a convincing 13-4 win on Nuke where they took eight rounds on the T side and then played a perfect 5-0 half for a 13-4 victory.
Then we watched Vertigo, on which the game was much more uncertain, FaZe managed to take a 7-5 lead and then maintain the advantage until a 13-9 victory.
What is particularly interesting at the moment is that yesterday there was news that GameSquare, the company that owns Complexity, will also buy FaZe Clan, which potentially creates a conflict of interest problem and means that one team will most likely have to be sold. And while we wait to see what happens with that, these two teams will go head-to-head to decide who will lift the first CS2 trophy.
