FURIA managed to stay in the Major and make it to the fifth round with a 2-0 win against ENCE in the fight for survival, paiN Gaming brought Brazil its first participant in the main stage of the tournament, Denmark will still have one more domestic representative in the top 16.
And while we have described the previous three matches of the fourth round in this text, here is how the remaining matches that took place today at the PGL Copenhagen Major went.
Pain Gaming continued with better and better games and fully deserved to pass with a score of 3-1. They beat Apeks, ENCE and SAW, who, despite the great games in the past period, could not match the Brazilians.
The incredible team captain Rodrigo "biguser" Bittencourt continued to play in excellent form and with 39 frags and a 1.49 rating he was once again in the spotlight. An almost identical rating (1.46) with one frag less was achieved by Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira, who also exceeded expectations.
PaiN took a 13-10 lead with a win on their pick, Vertigo, and then defeated SAW convincingly on Nuke 13-7. The Portuguese team started 2-0, but they already wasted two chances to advance and tomorrow they will have to play a decisive match against the FURIA team.
FURIA had no mercy tonight against ENCE, who completely failed at the Major. Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and Kaike "XCERATO" Cerato were an unsolvable problem for the Polish team, in which Pawel "dycha" Dycha, perhaps the team's tragic figure in this tournament, played extremely poorly.
Imperial failed to win and allow the Brazilian teams to achieve maximum performance in the fourth round. ECSTATIC managed to celebrate 2-1 (13-4 Anubis, 10-13 Inferno, 13-9 Vertigo), driven by the motivation of playing at home. They opened Vertigo convincingly with an 11-1 advantage in the first half, but Imperial was on the verge of winning overtime, before ECSTATIC managed to surprise them and in a round where they were underarmed, planted a bomb in a 5v4 situation, of which Imperial could not recover.
