The most decorated CS:GO player of all time Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen has arrived at Heroic where he will play until the end of 2023.
Heroic parted ways with team leader Casper "cadiaN" Moller and they had very little time to find a replacement before the end of the year competitions. Because of this, the decision fell to the former Astralis and Vitality star who, shortly after winning his fifth Major, lost his Vitality spot when he was replaced by Shahar "flameZ" Shushan in June.
Dupreeh then stated that he has no intention of ending his career and that he is eager for new successes, and as we unofficially learn, he was in negotiations with several teams, and in the end the decision fell on Heroic.
Whether dupreeh is just a temporary solution until Heroic finds a player, or both sides decided that this would be a kind of test period after which they will decide if they want to continue the cooperation - we can only guess for now.
His arrival automatically means more changes within the team itself, primarily in the IGL and AWP position (unless dupreeh partially covers the sniper role). For now, it makes the most sense that Martin "stavn" Lund could take over the role that cadiaN had, but nothing is certain yet until we see the new lineup in action.
We will be able to do that already on Wednesday when Heroic plays the first match of the Roobet Cup against Aurora.
