BLAST: Virtus.pro beats Astralis, Vitality beats FaZe

Team Vitality managed to pull off a turnaround in the BLAST Spring Final quarter-final derby to win against FaZe Clan, while Virtus.pro defeated Astralis without a lost map for their place in the top 4.

Although Vitality struggled in the group stage where they lost to Virtus at the start of the tournament, and then won a narrow victory against the weakened G2 who played with a full squad but with a player who flew straight to the stadium and played without warming up, against FaZe have finally shown all their potential in action.

It looked like FaZe would get another win when they demolished Vitality 13-4 on Inferno, with a perfect second half from the CT side. He managed to answer Vitality on his pick, Dust2, where we saw two uncertain halves, and in the end Vitality took a 13-10 victory and evened the score.

David "frozen" Černansky was absent from FaZe's ranks on the second map, while Robin "ropz" Kool completely failed on the third map, finishing Mirage with only nine frags. Ropz experienced a drop in form that coincided with FaZe's weaker results, while on the other hand, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan stood out in Vitality's 13-6 win with a 27-11 record, 142.4 damage per round and a 2.28 rating.

Virtus.pro showed an excellent game against Astralis, and game connoisseurs mostly praise the new tactical dimension brought to the team by Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, who also performed excellently on Dust2, the second map of this match. VP took a 13-8 lead on Inferno where they took eight runs in the first half on the CT side. They led by the same score playing the T side on Dust2, but this time Astralis was more specific for two rounds, and the map ended with a score of 13-10 for the Russian team.

Virtus.pro will play against Na'vi from 20:00 for a place in the grand final, and from 17:00 we watch the clash between Spirit and Vitality.
