BLAST presented the group compositions and the schedule for the upcoming final of the autumn Premier tournament.
A total of eight teams will compete for a prize pool of $425,000 in the largest CS2 LAN tournament to date, which is scheduled for November 22-26.
As many as five of the eight teams will play in new lineups, so at first glance it is difficult to single out favorites, of course, if you exclude FaZe Clan, which currently looks out of competition in CS2 esports after the titles won at the first CS2 clan IEM Sydney and the online tournament Thunder World Championship.
FaZe Clan will lead Group A with Natus Vincere, Cloud9 and Ninjas in Pajamas alongside them, while Group B sees Vitality, Astralis, Heroic and Complexity.
On the first day of the tournament, we watch the matches of the first round of both groups. The action starts already at 10 am, and the tournament is opened by FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pajamas. These two teams played a CS2 esports record Bo1 match today that ended 28-25 at the Asia Championship, a great prelude to what's to come at BLAST.
After that comes another spectacle, the former Na'Vi trio now playing for Cloud9 meets the Ukrainian organization in the first round. A big CIS derby awaits us, and of course a chance to see Na'Vi in action with new sniper Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov.
In Group B, William "mezii" Merriman will make his debut for Vitality against Heroic, for whom Casper "cadiaN" Moller, the former captain of the team who, despite being removed from the team, decided to meet them for BLAST will play for the last time. Sprout's Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss will also help Heroic as a change.
The last pair is Astralis and Complexity, for whom this will be a great opportunity to fight for a high ranking at LAN. Complexity has been in better shape for some time, which earned them a record sixth place on the HLTV ranking list, and for Astralis, which is going through a turbulent period and a sea of rumors about changes, this may be the last time they play with the current lineup.
