BLAST: FaZe and Vitality in semis, Astralis and NiP eliminated

On the second day of the BLAST Premier Fall Finals tournament, the group stage of the competition was completed, and the first two teams to say goodbye to the tournament are home crowd favorites Astralis and their neighbors Ninjas in Pajamas.

At the start of today's action, Natus Vincere in the fight for survival easily came to an end with NiP, who managed to torment them in the first half of the first map (Overpass), but they couldn't do more than that and Na'Vi with a 2-0 deservedly passed on. , while Ninja fans will have to continue to worry about the future of a team whose good play is still not in sight.

Then came the spectacle of the day, an incredibly entertaining clash between FaZe and Cloud9, in which FaZe, after two overtimes on the third map, managed to record their 17th consecutive victory and surpass G2's record of 16 victories last year when it comes to consecutive victories. And while no one will likely ever break the record of 60 wins set by Ninjas in Pajamas in the early stages of the CS:GO esports era, it will be interesting to see if FaZe can overtake another record set by the illustrious Astralis.

In order to reach their 17th victory, FaZe had to play at the top level again against a rival that tested them to the limit. Once again, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov shone in the ranks of C9 with 66 frags, by far the most on the server, and the whole team seems to be playing completely refreshed since Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov came in and took over the role of leader.

Cloud9 took a 13-11 lead with a victory on their pick, the Overpass map, but FaZe responded fiercely with a 13-2 triumph on the Ancient map.

Anubis brought the answer to who will be the first semi-finalist of the tournament, and we got the answer only after two overtimes and a lion's fight in which FaZe managed to recover from a 0-3 deficit and with seven tied rounds came to a big 19-15 victory .

In the fight for survival Heroic and Astralis played a match in which Heroic was completely unexpected glory even though they came to the tournament with two changes, if Casper "cadiaN" Molnar can be counted as a change now that we know he will no longer play for the team. The Astralis players once again played very poorly and let go of the big 8-0 lead they had on the second map, but that was to be expected when you consider that part of the team knew that this was their last tournament in the Danish jersey team, which affected the morale within the team.
