Xyp9x arrived as an assistant coach at MOUZ

Four-time Major champion Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth has ended his playing career, but will remain in CS2 esports. He will try his hand at the role of assistant coach in the MOUZ organization, which enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of this esports veteran.

Just a few days ago, Xyp9x left Astralis, where he spent an incredible eight years, and even then he announced that he would soon reveal his new big project. It was assumed at the time that it was about a transfer to a coaching position, which turned out to be true.

Xyp9x revealed that he received many offers from teams, and from the best teams in the world, including offers for the head coach. He decided that it would be wiser to learn from an expert in the field at this point and try his hand at the position of assistant coach to begin with, although his goal is to one day become the best CS coach on the planet.

He added that soon after talking with MOUZ and their head coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, he realized that they are a great match and that this is the place where he wants to continue his career, and MOUZ accepted him wholeheartedly and he will make his debut with them at the PGL Copenhagen to the Major.

MOUZ will be competing from the main stage of the tournament, which means Xyp9x will have more time to research the competition with the rest of the coaching staff and help players prepare for the challenges ahead.

He mentioned that MOUZ players remind him a bit of Astralis and that he thinks they have a huge potential to become even better and achieve great success.

In closing, Xyp9x noted that while he's happy about the successful career he's had, he still regrets the way it ended, and that's why he doesn't want to use the term "career-ending" because it didn't happen on his terms and in the way he wanted, although realistically there is very little chance that he will ever return to playing again.
