Virtus and Heroic complete IEM Dallas 2024

Teams virtus.pro and Heroic us emerged as winners from the European closed qualifiers for IEM Dallas 2024, which also finalized the list of participants for the upcoming tournament in America.

The European qualifiers brought plenty of exciting and suspenseful matches, where we watched alongside qualified teams and teams such as ENCE, KOI, Apex and Metzport.

Virtus.pro is the only team that finished the qualifiers undefeated and they were the first to qualify for the tournament. In front of them, B8, Apex and finally Heroic fell in order, winning 2-0 in two maps that could easily have gone in favor of the Danish team (13-10 Overpass, 13-11 Mirage).

At the start of the fight for survival, B8 defeated MRS KOI, while Metzport started their winning streak with a win against Preasy. They carried over their good performance from the BLAST Showdown tournament to the IEM Dallas qualifiers, but were again stopped at the last step by a much bigger team. They managed to beat Apex in the second round of the lower barrage, and then B8, which led to a decisive match against the Heroic team.

Unfortunately, the excellent Swedish team ran out of gas before the last match, which was best used by Rasmus "sjuush" Beck, who was unstoppable with a 45-18 score, 114.7 ADR and 1.87 rating at the end of the match.

Heroic opened the match with a convincing 13-4 win on Vertigo, followed by a 13-5 triumph on Anubis.

IEM Dallas 2024 will be held from May 27 to June 2, and 16 teams will fight for $250,000 and a place at IEM Cologne 2024:

Team Vitality, G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Spirit, MOUZ, Na'Vi, BIG, Complexity, Team Falcons, Virtus.pro, Monte, Team Liquid, Heroic, 9z Team, Jeeves and M80.
