Fnatic stopped BLEED's excellent run with Vladan "VLDN" Radević and triumphed in the finals of the first edition of the RES EU Series tournament with a 2-1 victory.
This is BLEED's only defeat in the tournament, where they defeated BIG, Young Ninjas, Rebels and BetBoom Team on their way to the finals.
On the other hand, Fnatic started the competition with a defeat against the Danish team Preasy, but they got revenge on them in the decisive match for passage to the playoffs, where they then defeated 3DMAX and Young Ninjas.
Fnatic opened the finals with a 13-9 win on their pick, the Ancient map, but BLEED equalized with a great game on Inferno where they won 13-7, thanks primarily to a good defense in the second half.
Anubis was in limbo until the very end, and fnatic managed to hold on to a 7-5 halftime lead for a 13-10 win and the title that earns them $50,000 and 100 RLG points, while BLEED took home 50 RLG points for second place.
The tournament win comes somewhat as a consolation for Fnatic who fell short in the PGL Major qualifiers where they squandered two chances, and ended up losing in the LCQ qualifiers.
BLEED has improved their game considerably, so it wouldn't surprise us to hear soon that VLDN has officially been given a permanent spot on the team.
