ENCE defeated Astralis in the battle for the Major, ECSTATIC defeated GE

ENCE secured passage to the PGL Copenhagen Major by defeating Astralis 2-0 in the play-off decider, leaving the Danes hoping to win the play-off for the final slot. The other Danish team playing on the day, ECSTATIC, defeated the Guild Eagles 2-1 to earn them their first appearance at a Major.

Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander triumphed once again against his former team that he led to four Major Championship titles. With him, Astralis became the most trophy-winning CS:GO team, and now it was gla1ve who potentially denied them a trip to the Major. As a reminder, Astralis, like all teams with a 2-3 performance, will go to the play-off for the last EU Slot, but they will have to beat all three opponents in it if they want to go to the Major on home soil.

In addition to the IGL role, Gla1ve also played well when it comes to shooting, and the match ended with a 1.32 rating and 88 damage per round.

ENCE took the lead with a convincing 13-6 win on their pick Vertigo, and then managed to defeat Astralis who were playing desperately on the ancient map. ENCE was losing 5-7 at halftime, but in the sequel they took eight out of ten rounds and with a score of 13-9, they qualified for the PGL Copenhagen Major.

Astralis once again demonstrated very poor team play, and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund, reinforcements from Heroic who, according to some rumors, were paid a total of two million dollars, failed in particular. As a reminder, Astralis has four players who were in the top 20 players in the world according to the HLTV portal, which is why their appetites for the Major were much higher than where they are currently.

Unlike them, ECSTATIC positively surprised and became the first Danish team to qualify for the Major in Denmark. Although they lost to the Guild Eagles 3-13 on the Ancient map, they managed to turn it around and first tied it with a 13-9 victory on Inferno, and then convincingly defeated their opponents 13-5 on the decisive map Overpass.

The Guild Eagles as well as Astralis can only hope that they will be the team that emerges victorious from the play-off for the last place, in order to make it to the third Major in a row.
