G2 Esports won their fourth consecutive LoL European Championship title with a 3-1 win against Fnatic in the 2024 Spring Season Finals.
The biggest rivals of European LoL esports played another LEC final, and although we saw a fierce battle throughout the match, the outcome was the one seen so many times before - a victory for G2 Esports that brought them a record 14th LEC championship title.
G2 continues to rule Europe, with their fourth title in a row, and although Fnatic put up a great fight, we saw that G2 is simply still a step ahead of the competition and that it is too difficult for the European teams to carry out the plan they have devised to victory. G2 takes advantage of even the slightest mistakes by their opponents to turn the tide in the Rift and achieve victory, which is a characteristic of more technically savvy teams.
Fnatic was the first to take the lead, but the joy of their fans didn't last long. G2 announced a big turnaround with the victory in the second game, where we saw a new fifth for Caps, who at the same time won their 12th title, let's remind Caps also made a fifth against Team BDS in the final of the winner's barrage.
Caps also found himself in the spotlight in the third game where he single-handedly took down the opposing nexus while the teams battled, but G2 already had a 12,000 gold advantage by then and it was a question of when they would get the win.
In the fourth game we saw another fifth in the ranks of G2, this time the performer was ADC Hans Sama with Jinx. Hans Sama has often been the target of criticism in international competitions where he could not match the world's best bot lanes, but in Europe he continues to terrorize his opponents.
G2 Esports and Fnatic will represent Europe at the upcoming MSI 2024 which will be played from May 1st to May 19th in China.
