Envy officially returns to Counter-Strike with former 3DMAX roster

Envy has officially returned to Counter-Strike after more than five years away from the scene, with the organization confirming the acquisition of the entire former 3DMAX roster.

The new Envy CS2 lineup consists of Bryan “Maka” Canda, Lucas “Lucky” Chastang, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, Filip “Graviti” Brankovic and Jeremy “Kursy” Gast. The five players will continue playing together after representing 3DMAX, with Envy taking over the roster following a highly successful period for the French side.

The lineup entered the spotlight after winning two tournaments in September. The team first claimed the NODWIN Clutch Series 11 title before following it up with a victory at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 in Warsaw.

At the latter event, 3DMAX defeated Luminosity 3-2 in a marathon grand final that lasted almost seven hours. Maka played a crucial role in the victory, finishing the final with an impressive 1.32 rating.

The results also helped the team significantly improve its position in the Valve Regional Standings, putting it in a stronger position in the race for a place at PGL Major Singapore.

Envy had already hinted at its return to Counter-Strike shortly after 3DMAX's victory in Warsaw. The organization posted a short video on social media featuring the message “The bomb has been planted,” further fueling reports that it was preparing to acquire the roster.

Those reports have now been confirmed, with Envy officially taking over the team and marking its return to competitive Counter-Strike.

The move also carries additional significance given Envy's history in the game. The organization entered Counter-Strike in 2015 and became one of the most successful teams in the French scene under the EnVyUs banner. The lineup won DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, giving the organization its only Major title in Counter-Strike.

Envy last fielded a Counter-Strike roster in 2021 before stepping away from the scene. Its return now comes with a team that already has considerable momentum and a strong recent run of results.

For Maka, Lucky, misutaaa, Graviti and Kursy, the move represents an opportunity to continue building on their recent success while competing under one of the most recognizable names in Counter-Strike history.

With the acquisition now official, Envy is back in Counter-Strike — and the organization will look to make its return count as the race for PGL Major Singapore continues.
